Tuesday the 6th:

The Pony Bar in Hell’s Kitchen is hosting their first Founders event. No list, but there’s mention of several varieties of Breakfast Stouts plus other rarities and seasonals (and I have no doubt they will deliver). Taps on by 6 pm.

Bierkraft in Park Slope is hosting a Pretty Things Beer Social from 7 to 10 tonight. Listen to Jim Barnes spin an eclectic mix of music (Russian disco, Polka, who knows?) while you sip some of Dan Paquette’s liquid creations.

Idle Hands in the EV is showcasing Stone Brewing & High West Distillery in their $10 beer & bourbon tasting tonight. A tenner gets you full pours of Stone IPA & Stone Sublimely Self-Righteous, samples of Stone Smoked Porter, Oaked Arrogant Bastard Ale, 2012 Stone Old Guardian Barley Wine or 2011 Double Bastard, a taste of something from High West, and an order of Tater Tots from That Burger w specially made dipping sauce made with featured brewery

*added 3/7* Taproom 307 in Gramercy is putting on some special Smuttynose lines tonight at 7 pm, including a one-of-a-kind oaked Robust Porter and the first keg of the new batch of Vunderbar Pils in the city.

*added 3/7* beer table in Park Slope is releasing the first version of their table beer series tonight.  This 4.7% interpretation was brewed with Brian Strumke of Stillwater and will be available in bottles and on draft tonight.  Free oysters will be served until they run out beginning at 5 pm.

Thursday the 8th:

Friday the 9th:

It’s the grand opening of the New York Beer Company today beginning at 11 am. Expect 40 drafts and 60 bottles from this new Hell’s Kitchen bar.

Tonight at 7 pm, George Keeley (UWS) kicks off the East Coast vs West Coast Heavy Metal Brew Tour. Smuttynose & Victory battle Lagunitas & Ballast Point to the tunes of everyone’s favorite heavy metal artists.

The monthly Homebrew Brunch returns to Taproom 307 in Gramercy today. $20 gets you brunch and a glass to share homebrew – bring your latest creations between 11:30 am and 3:30 pm.

*added 3/7* Bitter & Esters in Prospect Heights has their next Brew Like a Pro Session today.  Participants will brew a 15-gallon batch of a Nøgne-Ø Porter clone, using the exact recipe and ingredients as the actual beer, and then be invited to one of three release parties where you will get to taste your creation alongside the commercial version.  Tickets are $65 and can be purchased here.
