Monday the 11th:

*The VSK (Very Special Keg) tonight at The Blind Tiger in the Village is the Ommegang Gnomegang 2011 and will be tapped at 5 pm.

**Jimmy’s No 43 in the East Village has a NOLA Mardi Gras Prix Fixe Dinner tonight with one 7 pm setting. The $45 ticket (tax & tip not included) gets you 5 courses with beer pairings. Call 212-982-3006 to reserve your spot. The menu:

*The $20 Tuesday Night Tasting at Jimmy’s No 43 in the East Village features French and Canadian beers. Be there by 7:30 to get your share of the 6 featured beers:

*Brooklyn Brew Shop has a Valentine’s Beer Making Class from 7:30 to 10 tonight in Dumbo. Founders Erica Shea and Stephen Valand will take participants through the beer making process, from grain to glass. Samples of their Smoked Wheat, Chestnut Brown and Chocolate Maple Porter will be paired with cheeses and served. The class is $100 for couples, $70 for singles (both price levels include one Everyday IPA Beer Making Kit – $40 value) – tickets may be purchased here.

*Good Beer in the East Village has a River Horse Brewing Co event tonight from 6:30 to 9 with discounts on all Cisco flights, drafts & growlers. Taps:

**There’s a Fat Tuesday Celebration at Radegast Hall & Biergarten in Williamsburg tonight beginning at 7 pm. Get a flight of four beers for $10 or purchase by the glass. Live music by the Emily Ashers Mardi Gras Garden Party.

*Malt & Mold on the LES has a Mardi Gras tasting with Abita beers from 3 to 6 pm. They’ll have a keg of the brand new Abita Oyster Stout and a few other beers to sample. They’ll be making muffaletta sandwiches and handing out free cheese samples as well.


*Sunswick 35/35 in Astoria has a Mardi Gras with Abita event tonight from 7 to 10 pm. The list:

**Alphabet City Beer Company in the East Village has a Mardi Gras event beginning at 6 pm. They’ll have 5 draft beers from Abita, drafts from Bayou Teche (including the Saison d’écrevisses, a crawfish saison), New Orleans-style sandwiches and the happy hour discount of $1 off pints is extended until 9 pm.

Wednesday the 13th:

**City Swiggers on the UES hosts a Getting Carnal with Flying Dog Brewery event from 6-9 pm. The list:

**Standings in the East Village has a Fat Tuesday Blowout at 6 pm tonight. They’ll have 3 Abita beers on tap, free pizza and their “incendiary Cajun spice bar”.

*The $10 Tasting at Idle Hands in the East Village features NY Breweries and Pama. $10 at the bar between 7 & 10 pm gets you 2 full pours and 3 tastes of the beers (featured beers: Bronx Brewery Pale Ale, Sixpoint 3 Beans and Shmaltz Brewing Coney Island Lager & He’Brew Hop Manna), a taste of Pama and an order of Tater Tots from That Burger with specially made dipping sauce made with a featured beer.

*Taproom 307 in Gramercy has a Belgian Beer event tonight.

Thursday the 14th:

**The Stag’s Head in Midtown East hosts a Beer My Valentine event beginning at 6 pm. Free mini cupcakes will be served at 6 pm. The list:

Brooklyn Fire Proof East in Bushwick has a Founders, Speakeasy and untamed rock n roll event starting at 6 pm. Founders and Speakeasy beers on tap, free swag and the first band goes on at 10 pm.

Saturday the 16th:

**Jimmy’s No 43 in the East Village has a Bacon and Belgian with Biscuits event from noon to 3 pm. Tickets are $45 and available here.

Sunday the 17th:

**The Spring Lounge in Soho has their 6th Annual Chili Cookoff today at 2 pm.

February 26: Alewife NYC in Long Island City is hosting a Dogfish Head beer pairing dinner, ‘A-Hop-A-Eclipse Now’. Five courses will be served at 8 pm for $65 a person. Go here to view the full menu and buy your ticket.
