Tuesday the 24th:

Double Windsor in Windsor Terrace is showcasing Imperial Ales tonight at The Empire Strikes Back event. The fun begins at 8 & all beers are only $5:

Ommegang is taking over the taps at One Mile House in the Lower East Side tonight beginning at 7.  I’ve never even heard of this place but they’ve apparently got at least eight taps to take over:

There will be free samples & swag.  I need to check this place out soon – 30 taps & buffalo-style crispy frog legs, nice!

Flying Dog is the featured brewery at Bierkraft’s Tuesday Night Tasting in Park Slope tonight.  The tasting begins at 7 but space is limited so get there early if you want a seat.  The line-up:

Idle Hands in the East Village is celebrating Beer Can Appreciation Day with some canned beer specials starting tonight at 5 – $4 a can or $20 all you can drink cans. You can browse their can list here though it looks like they’ll have a lot more tonight.  They’ll also have an a la carte menu from Yummy Eats.

Be one of the first to try the new Brewmaster’s Reserve from the Brooklyn Brewery tonight at Brazen Head in Cobble Hill. I’m not sure when these beers go on, but they’re $4 from 6-8 pm and $5 otherwise. Sweet:

  • And a cask of a strong stout aged in bourbon barrels that does not actually exist, mind you

Wednesday the 25th:

Sunswick 35-35 in Astoria is hosting one of my favorite breweries, Barrier, tonight at 7 pm. Craig and Evan will be there along with this draft list:

A flight of 4 5-oz pours of the bottles will be available for $20.

Saturday the 28th:

I’m very excited to be participating in the Beer Cocktail Brunch-Off at Jimmy’s No 43 in the East Village today from 1-4.  Tickets are $35 and include the beer cocktails and unlimited brunch bites.  I’ll be mixing the Bangkok Black Eye, a Thai iced coffee beertail, inspired by my recent trip to Thailand.  The other cocktails look equally exciting and I am sure that it will be a ton of fun!  Hope to see you there.
